I have had an accident. Should I report it to my insurers?
Yes, absolutely. An accident will affect your insurance and problems could arise with your policy if you do not report an accident in good time.
Can I use Taxi Legal as my solicitors? My insurance company is paying.
Your insurance company may have a relationship with a panel solicitor, in which case it may expect you to use that solicitor. However, depending upon your policy, you should be able to choose your own solicitor.
Do you operate a “no win, no fee” arrangement?
We do not. These arrangements are more common in England and Wales. However, Taxi Legal offers Scottish legal services, and the current rules regarding “no win, no fee” arrangements make it difficult for such schemes to properly operate in this country when the service is being provided by qualified solicitors and a law firm. Taxi Legal is NOT a management or claims company, but it is a fully furnished law firm regulated by the Law Society of Scotland.
Does my insurance cover me for personal injury, excess, loss of no claims bonus, loss of income and other outlays expected?
You would need to check the details of your insurance policy. However, it is not unusual for these types of loss to be excluded from your insurance policy.
